We like to think of ourselves as being culinary adventurous, but travel costs a lot of money, so until we get a radio or TV show we have to make due with the magic of books to transport us to exotic edibles and forbidden foods. Tom's book (believe us, Mr. Bowles, it's better we refer to you informally in the show so we'll stop butchering your last name) is just the ticket to reading about dishes that you could only imagine yourself eating (or not eating).

It's been one year (roughly) of doing the podcast, and while we always try to do positive and professional reviews, we thought we'd take a page from Spongebob's Opposite Day and do an episode about the worst of the worst. With St. Patrick's being only 17 days away, here are two great pubs that we've scouted out for your pleasure. This isn't a pub cast (although beer selection is discussed), but focuses on the amazing food of two fine establishments. Willie Stout's of Toronto makes burgers more then just pub grub, and fosters the community feeling of a "public house". J.P. Fitzpatrick & Sons offers traditional Irish dishes with a gourmet spin, right next to one of the best movie theaters (in our opinion) of Durham Region. You don't have to be a beer enthusiast - although it doesn't hurt! - to sit down in either and enjoy a great lunch or dinner.
